Today&#8217;s activity is to commit <strong>a random act of kindness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You don&#8217;t need to make any grand gestures today. Unless, of course. you&#8217;re a grand gestures kind of person, in which case go right on ahead.<\/p>\n<p>Random acts of kindness can be very small, but they can also make a big difference.<\/p>\n<p>Some ideas to try today:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pick up some litter in your neighbourhood<\/li>\n<li>Pay someone a genuine compliment<\/li>\n<li>Check in on an elderly neighbour during the cold weather<\/li>\n<li>Shovel some snow off the pavement<\/li>\n<li>Sign a petition or write to your MP<\/li>\n<li>Pledge to support a campaign<\/li>\n<li>Take a few things to a food bank or charity shop<\/li>\n<li>Chase after someone who&#8217;s left their mobile phone behind<\/li>\n<li>Drop something off at a lost property box or office<\/li>\n<li>Hold a door open for someone who&#8217;s struggling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Even a smile or a quick hug can have a real effect on someone who&#8217;s having a bad day. So&#8230;get random!<\/p>\n<h2>What&#8217;s happening here?<\/h2>\n<p>I managed another no-spend day yesterday, although I did make the stupid mistake of doing some window shopping in the tail end of the sales. Better avoid that today because the temptation was almost too much. I&#8217;ll read a book instead, always helps to take your mind off things.<\/p>\n<p>As today is the last day, I might treat myself to a coffee or a bar of chocolate to mark the end of a busy Tenner Week.
