Welcome to Day Two of our latest Tenner Week, with its theme of Spring Cleaning. If you need a reminder of anything, you can check the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pennygolightly.com\/\/tenner-week\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tenner Week Rules<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pennygolightly.com\/\/tenner-week-feb-2017-sunday-stocktake-schedule\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tenner Week schedule<\/a> if you want to.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s activity is nice and simple. All you have to do is go around your home and dust around the edges of your ceilings and the upper corners of your walls. You can also dust around your light fittings and the tops of curtain rails or blinds if you have time.<\/p>\n<p>These are all places where cobwebs and dust can start to collect, and we&#8217;re doing this earlier in the week because you save a lot of time and bother if you start cleaning at the top of the room and work down later. If there&#8217;s a lot of dust, you might need to dust your light bulbs and light shades as well, or flick a duster over other surfaces.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the size of your home, this should be something you can do fairly quickly, unless you have 14 bedrooms and double height ceilings (in which case don&#8217;t start complaining, just get one of your minions to sort it out or something).<\/p>\n<p>So that&#8217;s everything for today&#8217;s quick task. How is your Tenner Week budgeting going?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>What&#8217;s happening here<\/h2>\n<p>I managed to have a no-spend day yesterday, and the weather made it even easier. It was alternating between hailstones, drizzle and driving rain here for most of the day, and there was no reason for going out to the shops during any of that.<\/p>\n<p>Last night&#8217;s dinner was black bean burritos, and there was enough leftover burrito filling to have in a baked potato for lunch. We still have plenty of fruit and veggies, including some in tins and the freezer, so it should be fairly easy to make a few more healthy meals. I&#8217;ve hidden a couple of nice things at the back of the fridge and freezer so we can have a treat at the weekend as well.<\/p>\n<p>For today&#8217;s spring cleaning I&#8217;m going to have to improvise a bit. We don&#8217;t have a long handled duster any more, so I think I&#8217;m going to have to tie an old cloth over a clean mop head, and run that around the ceilings and corners. It won&#8217;t be pretty, but I think it&#8217;ll do the trick. Sometime you just have to improvise, don&#8217;t you?<\/p>\n<p>I have tickets for an event later, and I&#8217;m hoping there will be some snacks. If not, I&#8217;ll probably end up buying some chips if I can&#8217;t hold out until I get home.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Total spent so far<\/strong><\/em>: \u00a30.00.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are you going to get a quick duster around the place today?
