Another day, another spring cleaning activity &#8211; and it&#8217;s a quick one because it&#8217;s Friday and we all have other things we&#8217;d rather be doing. Today we&#8217;re going to do a super <em><strong>quick clean of our door handles<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s still cold and flu season, unfortunately, so let&#8217;s do a quick blitz where those germs might be hanging out.<\/p>\n<p>All you have to do is this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wipe those door handles down with antibacterial cleanser and a clean cloth, or some anti-bac wipes.<\/li>\n<li>If you don&#8217;t have any anti-bac, just use everyday cleanser because it&#8217;s still useful.<\/li>\n<li>Scrub up the handles on the front door, room doors, fridge door, kitchen and bathroom cabinets.<\/li>\n<li>Wipe other spots on the doors that might get fingerprints on them.<\/li>\n<li>If you have extra time, clean around the kitchen and bathroom taps, and phone handsets too.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That shouldn&#8217;t take too long, so you should be able to speed through it in just a few minutes. As always, if you&#8217;re too busy to do a daily activity during the week, the tasks are designed to fit together so you can catch up with them at a convenient time over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>What&#8217;s happening here<\/h2>\n<p>It was another day of disrupted trains here yesterday, so our freebie evening out was cancelled. We stayed in, made a Spanish tortilla and salad, and caught up on the box set of Save Me instead, which was better than getting stranded somewhere in the cold. I also gave the junk drawer some elbow grease and it&#8217;s all tidied up now. The worst bit was going out in the snow to put the &#8216;throw away \/ recycle&#8217; pile in the bins at the end &#8211; but you don&#8217;t get that sense of completion until it&#8217;s all out of the house.<\/p>\n<p>Keeping warm was more interesting than going out to the shops, and I&#8217;ve deliberately avoided reading those special offer emails from my favourite stores and deleted a bunch of eBay alerts so there&#8217;s been less temptation to &#8216;pick up a bargain&#8217; (read&#8230; &#8216;ruin my budget&#8217; &#8230;if we&#8217;re being more honest). The grocery stocks and menu are just about holding up too, which is encouraging.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m planning on doing today&#8217;s clean in a lightning strike this morning after I&#8217;ve cleared away the breakfast things. Already have the antibacterial spray and a clean cloth at the ready so it won&#8217;t take long at all.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Total spent so far<\/strong><\/em>: \u00a30.00<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Have you managed to cut your spending back this week?
