‘Ah,’ I thought. ‘It’s a welcome back award. How very kind. Nothing like a bit of encouragement when you have a long road ahead.’<\/p>\n
But lo and behold, when I clicked through I found that this site had actually won the Mighty Site award over at TotallyMoney. It isn’t based on encouragement, it’s based on metrics.<\/p>\n

Yes, that’s right, we’ve been back for 12 days and we’ve won an award for SEO.<\/p>\n
I’d like to point out that nothing on this site is ever<\/em> written from an SEO perspective, it’s all just things that catch my eye, or that I feel passionate about, or that I think people might like to read. I’m not saying SEO is wrong, far from it, but it just goes to show that original content basically SEOs itself. To whom it may concern: I rest my case.<\/p>\nOh, and before I forget, we were also finalists in the Finance section of the 2011 Shorty Awards. I couldn’t tell you about it at the time, but now I can say a huge thank you to everyone who voted – you were wonderful and your support is greatly appreciated.
