Do you have any of your \u00a310 budget left?<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s activity is to do some serious shopping around for one or more of your regular bills &#8211; <strong>let&#8217;s find a better deal<\/strong>. You don&#8217;t need to sign up for anything just yet, you&#8217;re budgeting right now after all, but it&#8217;s more about getting a look at the best deals on the market to see whether what you currently have can be improved upon.<\/p>\n<p>What could you look for? It depends upon your own needs, but could include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mobile phone deal (SIM only or with handset)<\/li>\n<li>Landline<\/li>\n<li>Broadband<\/li>\n<li>Gas or electricity<\/li>\n<li>Home contents insurance<\/li>\n<li>Annual travel insurance<\/li>\n<li>Car insurance, if up for renewal soonish<\/li>\n<li>Mortgage<\/li>\n<li>Loan<\/li>\n<li>Credit card<\/li>\n<li>Paid TV services<\/li>\n<li>Web hosting<\/li>\n<li>&#8230; and so on<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can also look into finding a free service to replace a paid one, or look into haggling the cost of something down (which can work with phone companies and Sky, for example).<\/p>\n<p>As you&#8217;re only doing preliminary research today, make sure you&#8217;re looking at best buy tables and sticking to &#8216;soft searches&#8217; where you don&#8217;t add your personal details to the search. Hard searches can affect your credit rating, especially if you carry out several of them in a short space of time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Which of your regular bills would you most like to cut?
