Here goes:<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Decide exactly what you want to use the space for, then get everything out of the drawer<\/li>\n<li>Wipe down the inside and the front of the drawer and allow to dry<\/li>\n<li>Sort through the contents into &#8216;keep here&#8217;, &#8216;keep but put away somewhere else&#8217;, &#8216;bin\/recycling&#8217;, &#8216;sell&#8217; and &#8216;charity shop&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>Be ruthless: if it&#8217;s broken, you never use it, or it serves no useful purpose, DON&#8217;T put it back in that drawer<\/li>\n<li>Add dividers or other organisation if needed<\/li>\n<li>Put your edited collection of stuff back into the drawer<\/li>\n<li>Empty the bin and the recycling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The result is something hygenic and practical, which is all a kitchen drawer needs to be. I was secretly hoping that I&#8217;d find one or two gadgety things in there to eBay, but all I found was a broken laser pointer, a rusted bottle stopper and half-used bits of stationery. No sales there then.<\/p>\n<p>If nothing else though, I&#8217;ve stopped The Beau trying to leave lint rollers next to the sandwich bags, and shoe brushes next to the cling film. I consider this to be excellent progress.
