First, spend about 30 minutes doing some <strong><em>toning \/ body conditioning exercises<\/em><\/strong>. You don\u2019t need to learn \u2018the wisdom of the ancients\u2019 either \u2013 most of it\u2019s very straightforward.<\/p>\n<p>Things you could try today:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Simple breathing exercises. Sit calmly, and follow your breathing for a few minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Stress reduction classes or books.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A free relaxation app, or a \u2018better sleep\u2019 app.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A meditation class or tutorial.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It can take a while to get the hang of some relaxation techniques, but stick with it and you should see the benefits.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll be doing a bit of pilates and working on my core strength, and maybe a few &#8216;barre&#8217; style exercises to tone up my legs (holding on to the back of a chair).
