Save the date!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;ve never tried a Tenner Week before, it&#8217;s a budgeting challenge we&#8217;ve been doing here on this site since 2010. You have to live on a tight budget for seven days, and there&#8217;s also a new and free activity to try on the site every day to keep things interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Want to learn more about the basic rules of Tenner Week, or just want to quickly refresh your memory? Visit the main Tenner Week information page <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pennygolightly.com\/tenner-week\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The new theme for this Tenner Week Challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We have a brand new theme every time we hold one of these challenges, and this September is going to be &#8216;<strong>Claw it Back!<\/strong>&#8216; Week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>September has a real &#8216;back to school&#8217; or &#8216;back to business&#8217; feel about it each year. However, it nearly always falls at the end of an expensive summer, where many of us have gone over budget or been stung by the general cost of living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s the perfect time to start clawing some of your money back, and make an extra effort to get your finances into shape again. Have a week when you cut your spending right back to basics, look for some fun freebies, get back anything you&#8217;re owed, and maybe make a little extra cash as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Want to be extra well prepared? Check out my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pennygolightly.com\/12-tips-for-a-successful-tenner-week-money-saving-challenge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">12 Tips for a successful Tenner Week<\/a> and get off to a flying start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Try the optional Sunday Stocktake<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As always, there will also be a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pennygolightly.com\/claw-it-back-tenner-week-challenge-sunday-stocktake\/\">Sunday Stocktake exercise<\/a> the day before the Tenner Week officially starts. It&#8217;s completely optional, but it&#8217;s highly recommended because it can potentially save you time, stress and money in the long run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to join in with the Sunday Stocktake then <strong>drop by this site first thing on Sunday the 24th of September<\/strong>. The whole exercise will be laid out step by step for you, and it&#8217;s very easy to follow along with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can expect a speedy food and drink stocktake first, to make sure you eat well through the next few days and use up what you already have.
