Welcome to <strong>Re-use &amp; Recycle Tenner Week<\/strong> &#8211; here&#8217;s a quick schedule of daily activities, and an optional Sunday Stocktake exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ve had to update the budget for Tenner Week because of inflation and the cost of living crisis, and you can choose one of two options: an all-in budget of \u00a325 for everything you spend during the week, or \u00a310 &#8216;pocket money&#8217; to spend on whatever you like plus generally trying to keep outgoings as low as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As usual, the budget does not include must-buy items such as medications, anything you need to spend on kids \/ pets \/ partner, any travel to and from work, and stuff you&#8217;ve already paid for (such as a concert ticket you bought months ago).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s look at the schedule!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Schedule for Re-Use &amp; Recycle Week<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As always, there&#8217;s something new to try every day, to honour the theme and keep it interesting. Here are the daily tasks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Sunday Stocktake<\/strong> &#8211; optional but highly recommended<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Monday<\/strong>: Tackling food waste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tuesday<\/strong>: Fix something day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wednesday<\/strong>: Easy reach recycling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thursday<\/strong>: Rent, borrow, lend<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Friday<\/strong>: Repurpose something<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Saturday<\/strong>: Tackling clothing waste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sunday<\/strong>: Get it out of the house!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You the full details of all the daily activities are in the next article, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pennygolightly.com\/re-use-recycle-tenner-week-challenge\/\">which is right here<\/a><\/strong>. I find this very helpful before a budgeting challenge because it can remind you of many things you&#8217;d forgotten, and it&#8217;s usually quite reassuring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Start by looking at your food and drink, for example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fridge and freezer contents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Items in cupboards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bread bin, biscuit box<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spice rack<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Baking box<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Now think about what you own that&#8217;d be useful for this week&#8217;s Re-use &amp; Recycle theme:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sewing kit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Toolbox, nails<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bicycle repair kit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Glue, repair filler<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upcycling gear<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Craft materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guides, manuals, leaflets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apps and websites<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deep clean materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You may also like to think about general things that you already own, such as gift vouchers, loyalty points, pre-bought tickets, pre-paid memberships, ways to keep yourself fit or entertained, and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enjoying this article?
